Hi Everyone,
I hope your new year was absolutely amazing!
For most we are in the process of creating and starting our New Year resolutions. For me, it was critiquing and finding more confidence in my performance abilities.
To do that, I have been studying my craft using Piano Marvel ©.
This web-based software is a developer's training tool for helping piano players study the technique of playing piano.
It includes:
Ear Training
Fingering Techniques
Tempo assessments
Dynamics, Articulations, Accent Marks, and Grace Mark techniques.
Repeats and Jumps
Various Key signatures
and more!
What You Need To Get Started
For IOS, Apple Iphone Software, users there is an app that contains a virtual keyboard! This is a feature only available for IOS users as of now, and will be available across more devices soon.
In the meantime, PC users and MAC x OS users must have a MIDI capable keyboard and Internet access to use this software. Piano Marvel © has a Piano store that sells the MIDI keyboard with the MIDI Chord for a reasonable price. You can also go to many Pawn Shops, Thrift Stores, Music Stores, Amazon, Ebay, or Walmart to find a keyboard. Just make sure your keyboard has the MIDI logo on it for MIDI accessibility.
If you do not have a MIDI keyboard, then don't worry! While you won't be able to get the computerized test scores, you can still use the call and response feature to do playbacks of your favorite compositions on a live piano. Just follow the instructions.
Performance Testing
For the best results, the website must test your performance ability to help you succeed in moving on. To do that, you have to complete the SARS test that will assess your playing abilities. You collect points, scores, and trophies by completing different method, technique, and playing book challenges that prepare you for the SARS test. Be sure to do your best, because you get limited times to complete each test before you are able to move on to the next level.

Complete the techniques appropriately
Follow the tempo appropriately
